The three sonatas on this disc were all written in 1777-78, and mark Mozart's attainment of a new level of skill and sophistication in his writing for the piano. While it is more organic than a recent atrocity (The Mozart Album - praised be the Lord of Steel Fingers), how shallow it is. Not once does it peer into the abyss.

One of the earliest pieces I remember from Mozart. I probably heard it when I was 3 year old or something. Anyhow, I am amazed how much counterpoint is in this overture and it really helps to notice that through transcribing. It will make you realise the depth of the score.
